Join Sarah as she takes you through working with an array of materials to draw and paint still life and botanicals.
Over the course of six sessions, Sarah will guide you through the fundamentals of drawing and painting botanical and still life compositions. You will learn techniques such as accurate observation, shading, line, tone and composition. We will work with pencil, charcoal, watercolour, ink and pastels.
With a focus on appreciating nature and making time to play, this course makes the beloved style of botanical and still life art accessible to all. The hope is that each participant will find their own way within the classes, and have the confidence to go forward incorporating still life botanical and still life drawing into their daily lives.
This course is aimed at beginners who want a taster in drawing or intermediates who want a different take on their creative processes. Sarah's practice blends traditional and non traditional approaches to still life and botanical art - no experience in drawing or painting is required.
